Internal battery resistance
Low internal resistance is available on demand. The high resistance crashes the battery voltage. The device is cut, leaving behind the energy.
Leadic acid has a very low internal resistance and a high current pulse string that is good for battery-reacted only for a few seconds. Due to solid sluggish, lead acid does not perform well with the maintenance discharge in high current, and restores the battery needs to be restored. Sulfate and corrosion are the main cause of increasing internal resistance. Temperature also affects resistance. The performance is then increased.
Alkaline, carbon-zinc and other batteries have a relatively high internal resistance, which is immersed in use in low current applications, such as flashlights, remote controls, portable entertainment equipment and kitchen clocks. As the battery discharges, the resistance is further increasing. This explains why ordinary alkaline batteries are relatively short running in digital cameras. High internal resistance limits the most important battery, with “soft” applications, and use them to drive power tools to draw high currents is unimaginable.
All batteries have self-discharge. Self-discharge itself does not make defects, although poor production practices and improper improvement can be promoted. The amount of leakage and chemical changes, and the original battery, such as lithium and alkaline, which is preferably maintained. Nickel-based rechargeable system, in comparison, leakage If the battery is not used in a few days, it is most important to charge. High performance nickel-based batteries are highly discharged than standard version of low energy densities. Figure 6 shows the form of self-discharging of the battery of the leakage fluid.
High self-discharge effect
Effect of battery self-discharge
With the growth of age, cycling and high temperature self-discharge increase. If the self-discharge reaches a 30% discarded battery within 24 hours.
Energy loss is getting approaching, which means the highest right after the self-discharge charging, and then gradually decreases. After the charging of the nickel-based battery, 10% to 15% of the first 24 hours of the first 24 hours will lose its capacity to 15%. Figure 7 shows the nickel-based battery in storage.
